I've had so many questions in these past few months about Hyaluronic Acid and how it works in our Hydrating Elixirs. A great one was from an Instagram follower:
Can you talk about how Hyaluronic Acid can actually dehydrate your skin?
Of course we can! So:
Yes - it can - if water is not introduced during the application and without the proper support ingredients.
Our Hydrating Elixirs are water-based - which is SO important as this gives the Hyaluronic Acid (HA) fresh water molecules to attach directly, fusing together as they are misted and put to work on skin's surface layer.
As you mist the moisture magnet HA, Italian water, active botanicals and potent antioxidants in our Hydrating Elixirs, these precisely blended ingredients help lock and hold precious moisture and create that feather-weight blanket of skincare you know and love using SKIN UP.
HA has been repeatedly scientifcally proven as the key to maintaining younger looking skin.
As we age, the amount of Hyaluronic Acid produced naturally in our bodies becomes less and less (and after 35 it's a huge production drop off!). This magic HA molecule is why babies are so plump and what helps keep younger skin wrinkle free - and why we need to continue to suppliment it with the proper support ingredients in our skincare to maintain our best skin as we age.
While Hyaluronic Acid will always be the star of this show - it's the entire process using the SKIN UP device and our blend of active ingredients that make the difference. Ingredients of high antioxidant value (Lipoic Acid and CoQ10 in our elixirs) work together with HA to defend against free radical damage and the effects of photo-aging (ie the elements, sun, wind, heat and pollution) - all to help you battle the signs of aging.
And as always - YES - our skincare works under and over makeup and boosts any skincare routine.
I hope this answered the question! I look forward hearing from you - and you can always reach out to me at email@example.com or on our Instagram community @skinup_usa.
Wishing you beautiful skin and a wonderful spring!
